The International Date Line passes through the Pacific Ocean. When you cross it going west, you skip a day. Going east, you repeat a day!
China spans 5 geographical time zones but uses only 1 official time zone (UTC+8). This means in western China, the sun can rise at 10 AM!
Nepal is the only country with a 45-minute offset (UTC+5:45). No other country uses a 45-minute offset.
